Do's

• Always use high quality materials for your shipments. Consider strength, cushioning, and durability when selecting your wrapping supplies. Use bubble plastic, crumpled aircushions or shredded paper to cushion fragile items.
• Use proper labeling that clearly shows Origin and Destination address, including phone numbers and PIN codes.
• Ensure that no single package weighs more than 35 Kgs.
• Shipments packed in wooden box should have an operable lid, which can be opened and re-locked again and again.
• Choose a corrugated box or a rigid carton of adequate strength that's just the right size, minimising space between the item and the side of the box. Check the weight specification of the box / carton.
• Choose the size of the package according to its content. Under-filled boxes are likely to collapse; overloaded ones may burst.
• Choose boxes made of corrugated cardboard, with good quality outer liners. Use heavy-duty double-layered board for valuable items.
• Use ample cushioning material to stop your packaging contents from moving. Ensure that the cushioning material is stuffed generously in the box.
• Make sure your item doesn't touch the side of the box and provide internal protection.
• Use strapping, when suitable, as a good way to seal and secure your box
• Seal securely using a strong reinforced tape designed for shipping. Tape should be at least 2" wide, but preferably 3" wide.

• Put fragile goods in the centre of a package; ensuring they don't touch the sides. Your item should be well cushioned on all sides.
• Repack your items properly. Many goods sold in attractive packaging may not be suitable for shipping.
• Protect your data discs, audio and video-tapes with soft cushioning material around each item.
• Always use cardboard dividers when sending flat, fragile material (such as vinyl records).
• For valuable goods use Security Packs. These are manufactured with a flap, which has a hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive strip for easy & permanent closure. Once sealed properly, it cannot be opened and has to be torn.
• Ensure that specially designed boxes are used for packing floppies and video-cassettes.
• Ensure that while packing sharp items like Knives, Scissors etc. the edges and points of these items are fully protected. Heavy cardboard is suitable for this. Fix the protective material securely so that it cannot be accidentally removed in transit.
• Fragile items should always be packed by a professional packer with proper markings indicating it as FRAGILE.

• Ensure liquids are stored in leak-free containers, packed with a lightweight, strong, internal material (for example, Styrofoam) and sealed with a plastic bag. Always remember that bad packaging may cause damage to surrounding items.

• Use triangular tubes not round tube-type cylinders to pack rolled plans, maps and blueprints. Remember always to pack small items in flyers appropriately. Protect your data discs, audio and video-tapes with soft cushioning material around each item.
• Complete the address clearly and completely, using uppercase letters when handwriting labels to improve readability for Vichare Express & Logistics Pvt. Ltd. personnel.
• When re-using a box, remove all labels and stickers. Ensure that the box is in good shape and not worn out.
